Louis Vuitton Monogram Wilshire

I am always excited to see new additions to the Monogram Core Collection and the familiar shape of the Wilshire is no exception. This time it is being released in three sizes as opposed to its Vernis predecessor. Since it's more structured, it is a welcome alternative to the popular Neverfull. The long slender handles of the GM and MM will make it the perfect workhorse bag without sacrificing style and could easily morph into a casual evening bag. It really reminds me of the Mezzo. LVook See: Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2010 2011 Trunkshow

I know that it's been awhile since I have posted in my blog. I have been battling a bag funk lately but nothing beats a Louis Vuitton Trunk Show to keep the LVoe alive.

Let's start off with the re-interpretation of the iconic Fleur de Jais Speedy with its glittering black sequins and flocage. I must admit that I was hoping for more ummppphhh, but the Speedy was just okay. I would have preferred if Marc used the same black leather on the tabs for the handles. Instead, the vache seems to be competing with the overall LVook but I LVoe the brass feet underneath that protects the embellishments.
I did like the LVook though on the clutch version, the Manège. I'm all about clutches lately and this takes the cake. One worry though is the rubbing of one's hands at the bottom where sequins and flocking abound though the handly vache wristlet is a welcome alternative.

Next we have the Monogram Volupté as represented by the Beauté (small) and Psyché (large). The coated jacquard has an interesting feel to it and upon close inspection I was amazed at how the Monograms were woven.

Lastly, I played quite a bit with the multi-exotic Carrousel. The shape is delightful in petite form and is crafted with crocodeeel handles, autruche flap, lambskin lining and a clochette trimmed with mink fur. This will give any PETA supporter a heart attack...(and you thought Lady Gaga's dress was a bit much)!

Of all of the pieces I saw tonight, the Carrousel has got to be my most favourite. Small enough for formal dining and quite colourful for a casual run of the town. Ooohhh, and it comes with its very own pillow stuffer to keep the shape! LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Exotiques!

I just LVoe, LVoe Exotiques so when Peter sent me these photos from the recently opened Bond Street store in London, I almost fainted. Feast your eyes on the wonderful skins that graces these arm candy. Thanks, P for sending them in.

Louis Vuitton Tutti Lucky Bracelet

After thoroughly enjoying my latest acquisition over the weekend, I decided to discover further what Louis Vuitton has in store for us in terms of accessories this coming Fall Winter season. I immediately zoomed in on the Tutti Lucky Bracelet. In Philippine lore, an elephant with a raised trunk always brings good fortune so I was thrilled to see this along with the clover and rainbow. Hmmmm...I guess the dice and casino chip are for the gamblers. Accesoires are coming our way in the next few months so keep your eyes peeled for them. LVoe it!!! www.louisvuitton.com

First LVook: Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Print Wallets

I still do not know the release names of these absolutely adorable Monogram Vernis print wallets, a re-interpretation of the pochette. The dominant colours though are the recently released Rouge Fauviste and the relatively older Rose Florentine. The pochette wallet now called Sarah was my first wallet from LV and I have since then stuck to that style. These highly stylized prints are making me hold off on my planned late summer purchases. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Wilshire

Also making an appearance in boutiques is the Wilshire (GM 16.7" x 12.4" x 5.5" and MM 14.1" x 10.6" x 4.9"). A structured tote that is large enough to carry a laptop or netbook, the Wilshire has an open top with a dock clip closure, pretty similar to the now iconic Neverfull. For now, it appears that the GM is only available in Amarante while the MM has Rouge Fauviste, Gris Art Deco and Amarante. Rouge Fauviste for the GM will be available around September. Check it out at www.louisvuitton.com for $1615 and $1220. LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Columbia Beret

Even though we are dead smack in the heat of summer, I LVook forward to what LV has in store for us in the Fall, particularly the accesories. The Columbian Beret is one such example. Sporting stripes that evokes collegiate wear, the 100% wool would be perfect to ward off autumn's blustery wind. Gris, Cassis and Red are the colour choices so take your pick! LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!! $325 at www.louisvuitton.com.

Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2011 2012 Monogram Desire Lockit

Two of the stars of this year's Runway Collection is the Monogram Desire Lockits, MM and GM. Crafted out of a nylon jacquard blend, these draw its inspiration from the uniform-esque ready to wear that it complements. The pull tab and handles are made out of resin. Available in Noir and Bleu, the MM will be around the $2400 range and the GM at $3150.
The neat feature about the Grande Modele is that you can fold it over for a different way of carrying it.

2000th Post: Louis Vuitton Monogram Macassar Sac à dos

The Monogram Macassar Line is expanding with an new interpretation of the Sac à dos, a backpack for the Vuitton Man. Slated to be released in mid-August, the $2800 shoulder bag has ample room for daily essentials. I LVoe the strap detail that is peeking out at the front.

Louis VuittonFall Winter 2010 2011 Ad Campaign

Feast your eyes on the new ad campaign of Louis Vuitton featuring Christy Turlington, Karen Elson and Natalia Vodianova.
Photographed by the great Steven Meisel
and styled by Karl Templer, the campaign conveys a time gone by when glitz and glamour were the norm of the day. LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Monogram Empreinte Collection

One thing that I missed while I was away was the press photos from stylerumor.com of the Louis Vuitton Empreinte Collection. Crafted out of embossed grained leather, it will be released as a permanent line around October together with the Fall Winter Runway pieces. Reminiscent of the Matte and Glace Collections, this will yet be another alternative to all you cuir LVoers out there. It will come in Blue, Taupe, Bordeaux, Navy Blue and Off-White. Estimated prices are: Tote GM 1700 euro, Tote PM 1350 euro, Artsy MM 1450 euro, Bowling 1100 euro, Clutch 800 euro, Portefeuille Long 500 euro, Portefeuille compact 430 euro. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!
