200 Posts

Wow, I can't believe it, this is my 200 post.

When I started I did not know how I was going to be able to write something everyday, or if anyone cared about what I had to say. I started it anyway, and have kept it going since the beginning of the year. I thank all my followers, knowing people check out my blog makes it easier for me to put more into it everyday.

Sometimes it is difficult to come up with ideas to write about, but for the most part I have had a good time coming up with ideas, and writing my posts. Since I started I have read more books and magazines, as well as the newspaper, then I have in the last several years combined. It helps with content for my posts and for sharing information when I am networking or hanging with friends.

As I have been sharing lately, my blog is going to go through some changes. The look, the content, and the overall feel, will be changing in the next couple of weeks. I hope you will enjoy what's to come next and participate often.

Back-to-School Renewal

Summer really flew by this year, I can't believe that school started today. Now that my teenager is back in school, it will be nice and quite in the house again, and I am looking forward to getting some work done without being disturbed.

With fall coming I do have some plans for my blog and my business. The blog will be under going major changes in the next couple of weeks. I plan to add more content to inspire creativity, resources for art and business, and projects for self discovery.

I am working on my business slowly, trying to come up with new ideas and do more advertising.

Now that school is in session this is a great time for renewal, for starting fresh. It is time to move on to the next level and I am ready for change.

I am Happily Feeling Orange Today

Blog Reading

I love to read blogs. I have blogs I read everyday, some I read every week, and some I read only when I am in the mood. You can check out this post for some of my favorite business blogs and this post for blogs I love.

I read blogs to learn something, to be inspired, and sometimes just to read a good story. I think there is so much we can learn from each other and reading blogs is a great way to do that.

On the side bar I am taking a poll for one week (Tuesday 7/21). I want to know how often you read your favorite blog.

I would also love to here your feedback. How often you like to read blogs, do you read several or just a few that you really like, what is your purpose for reading blogs, any comments welcome. If you don't have time to comment please take the poll on the side bar.

Blogs I Love

I love to check out different kinds of blogs. When I read blogs I like to learn something, be inspired, or be entertained. If it's a blog I especially enjoy I make comments and become part of the community.

Today I am sharing with you some of my favorite places to check out when I am online. You can also check out the list on did on Tuesday of business blogs I read on a regular basis. The blogs on this list offer something different for everyone, so I hope you find a few sites you can enjoy as much as I do.

Try Handmade - a great site with featured artist, there is a chat section, a gallery section, and an expo to find artists. This is one of my favorites and I check it out almost everyday, definitely worth a peek.

Alamode Stuff - Besides the fact that she makes beautiful handbags and accessories, her blog is fun to read and full of inspiration.

Creature Comforts - This blog is full of beautiful photos, and featured items.

The Craft Begins - This blog has some wonderfully different photo's and is full of inspiration. She creates inspirations boards with photo's and her color choices and posts them every week.

Laurel Plum Online - This blog is all about organizing, decluttering, simplifying, and having fun. There is always something useful to help make your house a home.

Diary of a Young Designer - A younger perspective on today's fashion.

The Coveted - Original fashion designs are featured and lots of fashion talk, fun to check out.

Independent Fashion Bloggers - This is a great site if you are looking for fashion blogs. It's a member site and there are 100's to choose from. Each week they do a list of the best blog posts for the week and they also talk a little bit about the business of blogging.

Funky Finds - Artist Features, weekly giveaways, and lots of cool stuff to find online.

Tip Junkie - This blog is full of tips for your home, parties, events as well as craft projects, giveaways and more. It is easy to get caught up checking out everything.

Shop News - Blog News - Personal News

I can't say it's been a booming week, because it's been slow. I am still waiting for that holiday rush and I hope it happens this weekend.

I am working on taking pictures of my new pieces and I will be posting new items all week. I am going to start working on one of a kind pieces that I will be listing in Etsy and 1000 Markets shops in December.

BLOG NEWS

I know it is a holiday week, but I will still post everyday. Tuesday I will have an accessory trend you can't miss, Wednesday's Photo's to Inspire will feature holiday centerpieces and table settings, and Friday my favorites from Etsy and 1000 Markets.

PERSONAL NOTE

I am looking forward to Thanksgiving this week, for the first time in a long time it is going to be just me, my husband, my daughter, and our dogs of course, and we have decided to have a non-traditional Thanksgiving, so no Turkey. I am looking forward to cooking some of our family favorites, and my daughter is going to a bake pie and cookies.

My husband gets home Tuesday after being on a 3 week long business trip and we have missed him a lot! I know he can't wait to be home and relax and we are all looking froward to a nice weekend hanging out as a family.

A New Year!

I want to thank all my followers who joined my blog in 2009!

I have big plans for my blog in 2010, and I would like to invite you to join me on the journey.

There will be interesting new content via guest bloggers, discovering amazing artists in the Artist to Know series, enjoying more inspiring photo's, and ideas to grow creatively.

The blog will have more tips, projects, and a challenge or two. I have done a lot of research this past year and I look forward to sharing everything I have learned with you.

There will be a new blog post every single day. My goal is to have each post start a conversation where we can interact and learn from each other.
