Art In Bloom is a right of Spring for the various garden clubs in New Orleans. It is a prestigious event, where artists, garden club members, professional florists, stylists, and interior designers are invited to exhibit. There is a special category for tablescapes.
This years invitees are: Design Within Reach, Vesta Fort, Friend and Company Fine Jewelers, Garden Trellis, Grace Kaynor and Anne Williams, M. Design and Consultation, Donna Maselli Designs, N + O-Neill and O'Brien, and my favorite, the premier home furnishings and ID shop on Magazine Street, perch.
I snapped a few photos some of the tablescapes. This years the theme is "Green Orleans".
Tables featured eco friendly green inspirations, as well as the color green as inspiration.
I think there are a few ideas you might like for your Easter, Passover, or Spring tables.

3. Friend and Company set a very tempting table indeed!

Design Within Reach did an austere table. Bare except for single bud vases of a poppy.

4. M. Design did a classic table set with antique china, and a glorious soup tureen.

The tureen was filled with a variety of green flowers; moss was used a a place mat, and grasses and small flowers fill cups and bowls.

N + O had a table skirt inspired by Scarlett O'Hara's petticoat under that famous green dress she made from her curtains. A huge globe chandelier hung over the table flanked by twig chairs.

Green color flowers are the centerpiece.

I don't know who did this French inspired table, with the green mums used as a table cloth, but I thought it was very charming and that you might like it.

Donna Maselli had one of my favorites. It was a tablescape showing an architect and designer having supper over plans.

I didn't get a chance to take pictures of all the tables, because I was working on the table for perch.
The table is called "perch. goes green".
It features an 8 x 10 carpet made of over 2000 green carnations, couture fabrics, fantastic vases with over 200 green Cymbidium orchids, and much, much more.
The perch. blog will be posting pictures soon, as well as announcing the winner of the giveaway of the Lucite ballroom chair.
You can still enter HERE to win, because perch. has been so busy with the Art In Bloom installation to have a chance to choose a winner.
Be sure to visit Between Naps On The Porch for more great tablescapes!
Thanks Susan for hosting Tablescape Thrusday!
